For the past two days I've been navigating Estes Park by myself. Since there aren't any other fellows around and lab that I'm working out of is an hour away it's been very quiet and a bit lonely. But I've resolved to try and entertain myself in what ever ways I feel comfortable doing so here are my adventures so far:
- Walked the downtown area and discovered a number of little bakeries and bought cookies to snack on.
- Drove and did some hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park
- Went to a movie alone
- Grocery shopping
- Walked parts of the Public River Walk
- Drove around Estes Park to get the lay of the land
- Found the laundromat, post office, office supply store, and numerous local outfitters
- Explored the inner recesses of the NPS back lot
- Found the trash dumpster
Everyone knows it's the archaeologist who should be exploring the dumpster.
