Now it's My Turn

Okay, so I've let Josh have his fun for a while, now it's my turn to communicate with the outside world that is the world wide web. Thanks for all of your great comments so far, we are really appreciative. This site is the product of months of Josh dreaming what kind of a site we should make (including much stress on what to even name the thing). But it's turned out really cool and I'm proud of him.

So what's going on with us? Right not we're in the middle of Vacation Bible School at our church and taking a class call "Ethical Reflections in an age of Moral Contention." It's been really interesting and I feel like I'm back in one of my religious studies classes, only learning on how to break down arguments so that I can understand what they are more. It's more brain work than I have done in a long time, so my brain's a bit sore and needs a bit more stretching

We've also realized how addicted we have become to Harry Potter. It's sad when a new book comes out and you immediately feel like you have to reread all the books and watch all the movies again for like the 3rd or 4th time just in case you might have missed some minute detail (like what kind of jam Dumbledore really likes). It's a sad existence, but with treatment it can be reversed. So we're in the middle of detox right now before the next binge when the movie comes out this fall.

Other than that I am lamenting the fact that we haven't been able to take some decent time out to "play" as my sister and I call it. Meaning going out and hiking, camping, backpacking, and enjoying the wonderful mountains or beaches around us. It makes it a little worse when I volunteer at the Ranger Station and hear about all these great hikes people are going on. I'm a little jealous, but we'll get it in soon enough. We're looking forward to some time out at Catalina and then a few trips in the fall when these summer crowds die down. Anyway, that's the summer so far. More later I'm sure.
